100 Days to Go and Bush Won’t Let Lameduckedness Stop Him

by Sandy Sand

Oh, swell.

Bad news for us. Instead of retiring to his steerless, fake ranch and cutting brush between now and January 20th, Bush will work “hard” to solve the economic ills of the country before leaving office.

We’d be so much better off if he’d just butt out and go back to Texas or his new “rancho” in South America.

We all know what a swell businessman he was and how “daddy” had to bail him out of every bad business decision he made.

It’s impossible to expect anything from a failed businessman, who with a lot of help from others, was at the helm when the economy did a belly flop.

Daddy, who bought and paid for his degree in economics and bailed him out of all his financial mismanagement can’t throw money at this one to get him out of trouble.

With a firm and steady hand on the shaky tiller of the country’s sinking ship of economic state, Bush is dedicating himself to righting the listing liner.
So, for the next 100 days it will be the economy above all, and everything else will fall by the wayside.

There isn’t much any president can do in his last 100 days except make mischief, but Bush will make a good show of pretending to do something, none of which will help.

Look how well his $840 billion bailout is working for Wall Street.

Economic Terrorism: Bush's Wall Street Bailout is the Patriot Act II

by Sandy Sand

Congress, don’t make the same mistake twice.

Fool the fools in Congress once…

My greatest fear is that Congress -- in a panic to do “something,” and anxious to go on the campaign trail -- will pass Bush’s bailout bill as written it.

Giving control to one entity with absolute rule and no oversight whatsoever is the death knell for American business and the economy.

We don’t need another Patriot Act, where Congress did the same thing.

In their same anxiety and panic to do “something” after 9/11, they took their first collective step in helping the administration destroy the constitution.

They not only did nothing to protect us from acts of terrorism, but they made it too easy for our own government to terrorize us.

Now the administration is using economic terrorism to force Congress to pass hasty and ill-advised legislation that like the Patriot Act, will be irreversible.
