Campbell Brown, Knock it Off and Get Yourself a Life

by Sandy Sand

More nonsense to make a big deal over when there’s real news to cover.

I’m with the 74 percent of the people who said on AOL’s unscientific poll that they weren’t bothered at all by Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell’s comment that President-elect Barack Obama nominee for Homeland Security, Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano should “get a life.”

Give us a break, Campbell Brown of CNN, who went on a rant over Rendell’s wise cracking.

Don’t you have some real news to cover or something really important to comment on?

Rendell’s statement picked up on an open mic: Janet's perfect for that job. Because for that job, you have to have no life. Janet has no family. Perfect. She can devote, literally, 19-20 hours a day to it."

Rendell also said he has no life and spends 20 hours a day on the job.

From the Department of Knock it Off!: KNOCK IT THE FRICK OFF!

I am so freakin’ tired of that stupid expression: Get a life.

Whatever life you are leading, no matter how busy or carefree, social butterfly or loaner, philanthropist or Scrooge, public service or private sector, traveler or stay at home, eater outer or your own in-house chef, reporter or reader…THAT IS YOUR LIFE!

As long as you’re not into a life of crime, it’s the life you’ve chosen to lead, so lead it, and don’t let them guilt trip you into thinking you have to do anything else!

CNN's Campbell Brown admonishes Rendell.
